Hitchin Lavender in Hertfordshire is one of my favourite places for children’s photography. From the outrageous colour that dominates the rolling backdrop, to the awesome cake for post shoot refuelling.
These shots of my daughter and her friend rocking a recent outing at Hitchin Lavender have been desperate to get off my PC and onto a blog.
Background: My little one’s friend can run. And run. And run. She’s also got a wicked sense of humour, so I spent the afternoon chasing her up and down the field, dodging the (gazillions of) bees and pausing for breath when she’d let me. She wasn’t a massive fan of the camera, so I took my chances when I could (when you’re three, running is so much more fun than posing). Meanwhile, my little girl loves to ‘help’ and spent the afternoon trying to piggyback me so she could work the dials and take the shots. Ideal. And no, these shots weren’t actually taken by my three year old…
