Jen and Nico’s Dorset wedding with a Mauritian theme was as warm, sunny and as happy as wedding days get. A relaxed and intimate ceremony at the True Lovers Knot – a cosy country pub tucked away on the outskirts of Blandford Forum, golden sunshine from dawn til dusk, a marquee filled with friends and family from every corner of the world, and as much love, laughter and emotion as you could stuff into one tiny little corner of beautiful Dorset. Just look at the speeches. My sides ached and my eyes watered as this lovely pair and their friends and family celebrated and shared their story.
Jen’s bouquet and venue floral decor incorporated flowers grown by Jen’s dad at her childhood home (shout out to Dorset Flowers for their floristry wizardry), her long-time hairdresser, Becky at Petit Beau was in charge of tresses and the lovely Olga at Barnet & Boatrace on makeup duties, whilst Jen’s friend’s mum, Shirley, went above and beyond with the most gorgeous naked cake (yes – it tasted as good as it looked 😉). Topped off with rum wedding favours crafted by Nico, it truly was a wedding of home-grown charm and utter joy.
Thanks Jen and Nico for having me along to be part of your special day.
