Hi, I’m Jo Quint. I’m a Hertfordshire wedding photographer. I don’t believe in scripts or perfectly choreographed shots. Nor do I believe in fake say-cheese smiles or awkward grimaces.
If you’re after natural, relaxed photos of your special day – images about people not poses, then I reckon we’ll get along.
Documentary with empathy is my mantra.
I believe in capturing moments as they happen. I believe in hunting for the best light and the best angles, and in creating a gallery bursting with honest, emotive, colourful and heartfelt images that tell your story exactly how it happened.
We’ll capture some epic portraits you’ll treasure forever, as well as some quick group photos if you wish – but they won’t take over your day.
I’ll be looking out for the little glances, the cheeky winks, the tender touches and GREAT BIG squeezy hugs, that weaved together help tell the story of you and the people you love.
I’ll create a visual memory of all the heart-bursting emotion, love, laughter, smiles, tears and embraces that make your special day, well, special. So when your open your gallery, you’re taken right back to your day, exactly how you remember it.
But with more. More hugs, more love and more laughter than you remember – because you were too busy having fun with those you love.

I’ll be with you from your morning preparations, your ceremony and speeches, a few gorgeous portraits and right through to your first dance. I’ll also stick around to capture enough of the party to capture photographic evidence of Uncle Derek spinning Aunty Marge round the dancefloor and your big brother doing the caterpillar. The moments you see and won’t want to forget – and those you didn’t (but wish you had).
I’ll work my little socks off, though you’ll hardly know I’m there.

Pricing + what’s included
PRICE
FULL DAY COVERAGE: 10 hours’ coverage with your images delivered via an online gallery and highlights slideshow = From £1950.
Extra hours and additional options such as a second shooter (additional photographer), albums and USB box and prints can be added on request – see below.

YOUR IMAGES
You’ll receive a password protected online gallery of approximately 500+ professionally edited, high resolution digital images (guide for a typical ten hour wedding).
Images will be watermark-free, and you’ll have a full licence to download, print and share your gallery to your heart’s content with friends and family.
Your gallery will feature images in colour and a selection of black and white. Some images work best in colour and others in black and white – I’ll make a professional judgement and you’ll receive a gallery that reflects your day.

TRAVEL
I’m based in Hitchin, Herts and many of the weddings I photograph are within an hour’s drive of Hertfordshire, so I’m often in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk, but I’ll travel across the UK to shoot your wedding.
Travel expenses are included for weddings within a 100 mile round trip of Hitchin. If you’re further afield we can chat about travel costs and any potential modest overnight accommodation requirements.
Travel expenses for micro weddings are included for weddings within Hertfordshire and a 50 mile round trip of SG4.

Do we need a second shooter? Do you photograph weddings beyond Hertfordshire? What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera? Will you take group photos? Will you need to be fed?

Do we need a second shooter?
Booking a second shooter (additional photographer) is entirely your call. For small, intimate weddings you may prefer to keep it simple and low-key with just me. I’m fairly fleet footed, and you’ll get images when you didn’t even know I was there, BUT I can’t be everywhere, so a second shooter will help capture additional moments that you wouldn’t otherwise see, as well as alternate angles in the service and speeches, additional candid shots or if you’ll be getting ready in different locations and would like coverage of both of you getting ready in the morning. I recommend second shooters for weddings of 80+ guests, but the choice is yours.
Do you shoot weddings beyond Hertfordshire?
Yes I do! Home is Hertfordshire – I’m snuggled in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire corner but I cover weddings across the country. Travel within a 100mile round trip of Hitchin is included and reasonable travel expenses are payable beyond that. Travel over a 150mile round trip of Hitchin may require modest overnight accommodation to make sure I can be with you for your morning preparations through to your party.
Will you take group photos?
Of course – if you want. Weddings are all about family and friends coming together and whilst the majority of my time will be spent capturing all your favourite people naturally and candidly, I know that having a few organised group portraits is important to most couples and their families. You can’t go back and do them after the day, so I recommend picking a few key groups that really matter – those that you’d be sad if you didn’t have. Just keep your list to a minimum so that you can drink the champagne, eat the canapes and enjoy your day with all your favourite people.
What if we're camera shy?
Don’t worry! So am I, so I get it. I’ll put you at ease, blend into the background and you’ll soon forget I’m there.
For your couples portraits, we’ll sneak off for 15-20 minutes during the drinks reception, and if we get chance we’ll also sneak off a little before sunset for the gorgeous golden hour light, and I’ll snap away whilst you enjoy some quiet time together. There’s really nothing to worry about and I promise you’ll enjoy it more than you expect.
Will you share our images on social media?
Most of my clients love to see their images being shared, and I hope you will too, but it’s your call.
I am proud of the work that I do and the images I create and appreciate being able to share them on my website and social media pages.
Sharing my images in this way is essential to my business. After all, it’s how clients get to see my style of work and is probably how you found or researched me too. Sharing on my page also gives you chance to tag and share with your friends and family so they can enjoy your memories with you.
But, to put your mind at ease, I know how personal your memories will be and you’ll always have the final say. So, once I’ve delivered your sneak peak and your final gallery I’ll give you plenty of time to enjoy your images before anyone else gets to see them. If when you’ve seen your gallery you spot any shots you would prefer I didn’t share please just say.
That’s all there is to it.
Will you need to be fed?
Yes please. I always bring snacks and water (and an emergency bag of Squashies ;)) but being fed and watered is always appreciated. Thank you.
WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP?
I hardly ever edit in photoshop, so there’ll be no photoshopped tan lines, longer legs or tummy tucks. BUT I’ll use my understanding of light and angles to give you the very best version of you. Naturally.
