Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer

hello, I’m Jo

And I believe that the very best photos aren’t about how you look. They’re about how they make you feel.

I’m a documentary wedding photographer, people watcher, moment catcher, memory collector and happy times curator. Home is lovely Hitchin in Hertfordshire and as well as shooting weddings in Hertfordshire, I travel across the UK documenting beautiful wedding stories.

If you agree that your wedding photos should be about people not poses then I reckon we’ll get along.

My approach to photographing your day is simple. I don’t believe in scripts or perfectly choreographed shots. Nor do I believe in fake say-cheese smiles or awkward grimaces.

I believe in capturing moments as they happen. I believe in hunting for the best light and the best angle and in creating a gallery bursting with honest, colourful and heartfelt images that tell your story exactly how it happened.

As your wedding photographer, it’s my job to create a visual memory of all the heart-bursting emotion, love, laughter, smiles, tears and embraces that make your special day, well, special. So when you click to open your gallery, you’re taken right back to your day, exactly how you remember it.

I’ll be with you to document every beautiful, funny, teary, emotional moment of your day, from your bridal preparations, right through to your first dance and party. The moments you see and won’t want to forget – and those you don’t (but wish you had).

I’ll work my little socks off, though you’ll hardly know I’m there.

Choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision. After all, you’ll be granting whoever you choose privileged access to your most special day. Of course, you’ll want to love your photographer’s style and portfolio, but you’ll also want to know that you’ll get along. You can find out more about me over here and more about my style here – have a little nosey and if you’d like to find out more just send me a message and let’s book a chat – you can’t beat a good old natter about weddings.

A Dorset Country Wedding – Jen + Nico

Jen and Nico’s Dorset country wedding was as warm, sunny and as happy as wedding days get.   After a relaxed and intimate ceremony at the True Lovers Knot – a cosy country pub tucked away on the outskirts of Blandford Forum – we nipped away to Badbury Rings for some...
