Birmingham Botanical Gardens Pre-wedding Photoshoot – Clare + Steve

Even on a drizzly, overcast day in early May, the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham still managed to boast an impressive display of colour for Clare and Steve’s engagement photoshoot.
I’ll be shooting their city wedding later this year and to help us get to know each other a little better, and to give them some beautiful images to enjoy before their big day, we met for a relaxed photoshoot followed by a coffee and a natter about all their wedding plans. Here’s a few of the images from our time together.

Roll on August – Clare and Steve are so thoughtful and so excited with the plans for their wedding – I know it’ll be full of fun, with plenty of special moments and personal touches and I can’t wait to be there to capture it all.
Clare’s an artist (check her out here) and I was thrilled to receive a handwritten thank you card featuring some of her beautiful prints (isn’t she so very clever). It means so much that they are delighted with the photos, but even better that they commented on my relaxed style.
Creating images that clients love is what it’s all about of course, but even more important to me is that people enjoy the process. Photos take you back to a moment, a time, a feeling. I want those feelings to be ones of relaxed joy, love and fun. No awkwardness. Just you, those you love, me and the camera.
