Autumn Days | A Bedfordshire family photoshoot with all the colour and cuddles
Golden leaves. Low autumn sun. Rusty ferns. Thank you very much, Nature. Lots of love, photographers everywhere.
Autumn family photoshoots are a great way to create a gallery of images bursting with colour. The shorter days mean it’s easier to schedule sessions for around golden hour (the hour or so before sunset) and make the most of the pretty light. The sunlight gifted to us on this session was a real treat.
I first met this lovely little family for a photoshoot a few years ago , so was flattered to be asked to catch up with them for more outdoors picture-making fun. Watching families grow up and being invited back into their lives to capture little snapshots of their story is an absolute joy – especially when they’re as much fun as these guys. Their cuddles came naturally, as did their mischievous sense of fun, adventure, and family togetherness.
My photoshoots are documentary inspired sessions, with minimal posing – I want my families to relax and just be themselves. Other than a very few coordinated group photos (you’ll never hear me say cheese) I encourage everyone just to run, walk, play, cuddle, tickle, piggy back, dance, twirl, jump, hold hands, dance – whatever comes naturally.
Meet Team H.
